    I think somebody tried this before and all of the shops refused to co-operate. It could be done a lot better, it should really have the date of entry, in tesco they have dates when offers are going to finish up too. Also I was in tesco the other day getting a pizza and I do not remember any of those offers listed on pizza being on, there were several other pizza offers though, one was a goodfellas spicy chicken one.

    There used to be a site called shoppingbill.com that was good, but it does no seem to exist anymore. Somebody told me that the supermarkets here went legal when the consumer authority people tried to make some kind of supermarket comparison service/site, dont know if thats true or not.

    In the states, ya can scan a barcode with a smart phone, and it will tell you where you can get the item cheaper in a location close to where you are.

    It wasn't just someone it was the NCA, couldn't get access to the retailers pricing systems so they scrapped the idea

    The site's pretty much useless without the date of each entry, imagine 2 months down the line having hundreds of offers, most expired - people just won't bother going back.

    It says updated on 12/05/2010 so I guess that mean they are current offers ?

    To me that means the last addition was on that date, not necessarily removing old ones though.

    Just checked tescos site, stupidly they make you sign up before you can view stuff, never understand this mentality. They have a big list of items half price, and the date the offer ends.

    coming from an FMCG IT background, I can tell you that that site will be a nightmare to keep accurate.
    The promotion cycles for these groups and indeed the suppliers are all overlapping and looking at the stock range there are 1000's of lines missing

    Thats why I was asking. On the radio, I've heard a few reviews of sites that are supposed to save money for people, and samartshopper is mentioned, but they never say if its any good. Even 1 weeks free trial would be useful.
