Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did EVERYBODY not think those were the lyrics?:D

Even though I know the real lyrics now, I still sing "Trombolies";)

We were about 8/9 ish when "Feed the World" was number one.

My friend used to sing "Feed the worms" so I thought they were the words:o

Also a friend of mine thought the lyrics to "Rhythm of the night" were......

"She's got a ladder in her tights, oh yeah.........
A ladder in her tights" :o

The whole song is filth. T'was actually written about the summer of 'soixante neuf'... BA said so himself. Catchy tune though.

First time I realised I was stupid was early on in school. We were forced to sing happy birthday to classmates regardless of whether you liked the spa or not or whether your voice was broken amongst the girly boys

Anyway that other song which comes after, whatever its name is, goes something like "he's a jolly good fellow, he's a jolly good fellow, and so say all of us" etc. I thought t'was French for years and while everyone else was singing those words I was singing "Hesa joliku felu, hesa joliku felu, and su-say all a vus" hadn't a notion what was going on.

"Midnight Madness" by some on the background music of PES 2012.

It sounds like they are singing "Midnight Mass"

No Woman No Cry by Bob Marley. I used to think he was singing "my fear is my only courage" but it was "my feet is my only carriage". Personally I think my line is better.

    Adele - Someone Like You;

"Never am I gonna find someone like you" - this is actually better IMO than Never mind i'll find someone like you

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Otherside

"Slagging my brother's all I ever" - slit my throat is all I ever

    Stone Roses - Waterfall

"Now you're at the wave ("wheel"), tell me how, how does it feel"

In Paul McCartney's Hope of Deliverance, when he sings the line "Hope of Deliverance", it sounds like "Hau auf die Leberwurst" to me - which is German for "Punch the liver sausage".

Not what good old Paul intended, if you ask me.

Man, this is old, but the best ever from those guys was...

Zig: "Have you heard the song about the girl working in the Bisto factory...?"
    Zag: "No, tell me more!"

Cue "She Drives Me Crazy" by Fine Young Cannibals, with a chorus of...

    "She DRIES MEAT GRAVY".

    :D

Da wid da da woe = "you're the one that I want" (?) from Grease

Also, "and the blue sets the floor" = "and I'm losing control" also from that song from Grease.

Even worse, I sold the words of that song written down on paper to a friend for a chocolate bar and she too then used sing those words.

Hope this clip works. Fingers crossed....

I've always thought these were some of the lyrics to smells like teen spirit.
    "When the lights out

    "

    "Win a ladda,

The song "free from desire" where she sings "My lover's got no money, he's got his strong beliefs"

I heard "My lovers got no money, he got his trumbliece"

For years I couldn't figure out what a trumbliece was.
