I've painted the exterior doors with Farrow and Ball Exterior Eggshell, which is water based, and want to use the same colour for the doorsteps and the 9-inch deep 'splash strip' which runs around the house between ground and floor level, previously painted with Dulux Weathershield. Can I use the eggshell for this job?

If it says exterior on can then it will be ok. If you paint the step though be prepared to paint it often. Just make sure plinth is in sound condition.

Thanks. Better than spending 71 euros on 5 litres of masonry paint.
