He said LG and GVV. Seems to be what most teachers are tipping. Sure if you cover two modes, you're guaranteed to be grant so it doesn't really matter I suppose.

Did anyone listen to today's? Any good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Conor108

I had grinds at the time. It'll be in the podcast section tomorrow I'd say

  • Registered Users Posts: 241 ✭✭lc2010

Heard it today, twasn't great tbh. I would much rather if they got to the point rather than having "celebrities" come in and re-sit their leaving. They also spent ages talking about time management which was just really the usual stuff you har from teachers.
The Irish one didn't really make any solid predictions either.:(

I thought it was good. She told us what her solid predictions for the poems were, the 2 HL and OL she thought would be up. She told us we need not study any stair that was on last year. She also predicted the essays(slighlty wishy washy though) and told us the church would not be on it!

However when time is at a premium, I don't think listening to celebs resit the LC is useful.

I found the time management thing to be good, especially about what to do between now and the exams!

Of course :D I was trying to phrase it without having to get off my seat, to see what I had wrote down.

    Anyways,
    Poetry
    Uirchill an Creagain
    Magdileanna

    Jack
    Nil aon Ni

    Aistes
    Polaitiochta

Influence of weather on a persons life (floods from November)
    Sport
    A problem essay

    Stair
Anything which came up in 09 and 08 will not be on this year.

Pros - concentrate on areas which were not on last year.

I'm both loving and hating the program. While they give good advice, they seem to purposely attempt to increase the pressure. Like I'm fairly mellow about these exams. I'm keeping a cool head, doing the time every day, so on and so forth. But after listening to it today, it slightly hit me. Though, it wore off by now.
I find that worrying about doing badly is the reason people actually do badly.

Also, I kinda enjoy the 'Re-sit the Leaving Cert' part of the program. The lad that was doing it today was hilarious!

Stop worrying about English Paper 2, Bob. It's not the most difficult paper ever.

Yeah the guy today was good oul craic. :D

I hate the way the whole leaving cert is hyped up though. The only reason I listen to the show is because the predictions, I'm sure it's the same for us all!

Does anyone know will there be a show about Economics or Business?

I love Maigdileana. And Jack! If they come up I'll be very happy. Uirchill is grand but they tend to ask about meadracht, which I never learn and find really hard to retain...

    Love the weather essay.

Which one is Fiche Bliain ag Fas? Is that the autobiography? Our school do Prós Roghnach so we have a different one.
