Close AIB online savings account

It's one of those standard ones you setup through a few mouse clicks on online banking. Does anyone know if you can close these by fax / letter or if you need to call into a branch? Thanks

Letter should be fine. I'd imagine a call to online banking would also be acceptable (or at least they'd be able to tell you what the easiest way to close it down is).

I had two of these in the "better times" and stopped them last year - from what i can recall I either did it on internet banking or rang telephone banking/branch. I know for definate that I didnt send a letter.
