Noob question (renamed)

Guys I was planning on getting this http://www.mcconveycycles.com/store/product/11159/GIANT-RAPID-4-2010-SMALL/

I'll be doing a rountrip commute of about 45k 3/4 days a week. I'll also be getting out on spins at the weekend of between 50-70k.

I'm not buying via the cycle to work scheme so cost is a consideration, thoughts comments welcome

Guys a quick noob question, I picked up this pedals today http://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=122&idproduct=4255

and will be picking up some shimano SPD shoes over the next few days, but do i need cleats aswell, i'm a bit confused...

Nope, cleats usually come with the pedals!
