Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Husband is mad about trying different meats - game etc and wondering if there is a good restaurant in Dublin who specialise in this kind of thing. Id like to treat him as a surprise :)

    Thanks!

Louie's (or Louis') on Mountjoy Square usually have a good selection. Give them a call first though to check their specials, sometimes they have deer.

Otherwise, Darwins is a good option, the owner is a butcher. I haven't been there for a couple of years, but they still seem to be going strong.

I thought they closed down a few months ago?

Darwins reopened across the road....good thinking! We are just back from out honeymoon in Italy and its just occured to me that I rarely see rabbit and venison on the menus of restaurants here...or maybe its just the restaurants that we go to :D

Cheers, Ill check with both places

It's the places you go i'd say.

I was down in killkenny for a weekend, I had rabbit and quail.
Bang Cafe in dublin had venison as a permanent item, rabbit sometimes. it's since closed, but the sister place is still open.

It most of the time over priced so i just do my own.
