Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Here are my soccer rankings updated from last year. The only changes from last year are that United have cut Liverpool's lead from 28 points to 7 and Fulham have moved up 4 places to 45th.
    Here is the table.

Any chance of giving us an explanation of what it all is?

Looks fairly self explanatory to me. He has awarded points for certain competitive achievements over a club's history in a weighted fashion, then reached an end total. Using his formula, you can rank the clubs in order of most successful.

Whether this is a valuable way to compare clubs or not is obviously something that can be debated.

How far back do these data go?

Is a system helpful if it places, say, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday above Manchester City?

    Or Rochdale above Wigan?

I don't think the question of helpfulness comes into it tbh. It is surely interesting (and no more or less than that) to put a club like Man City into perspective. They are on the cusp of huge success, but have a distinct paucity of tradition when it comes to winning trophies relative to their current ambitions. A club's positioning in the football pyramid is impermanent and constantly evolving. People need to be reminded of that now more than ever imo...
