    I went to Scotland a couple of times to meet my gf back then.
    Had to wait around for about 3hrs for a 30mins flight and such...
    She was a nice girl but then cuz she lived in Scotland, it didn't last long. Ended rather badly in fact.
    Learnt a lesson. Long distance relationships, no matter how romantic they sound, don't last!! Or a tleast not when ye're still teenagers...

    Since I have decided I'm not gonna get into a relationship with anyone who doesn't live within 50 miles radius of where I live...




    P.S. Just realised OP is getting married to the girl. Cool. Great to know it worked out for you OP!! Congratulations...
