R.I.P Ronnie James Dio, a true legend

Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May.
Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes
before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he
was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have
all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this
terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever. Wendy

Gonna keep an eye on this story, but it's wrecking my head the way false deaths are reported, the same happened with Brett Michaels a couple of weeks ago, and he's made practically a full recovery from his stroke/haemorrhage

Now we've lost Dio. In tribute to him I'll be playing "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" and "Mob Rules" at top volume. A sad, sad loss.

I was never a fan of his vocal style but I can appreciate his huge contribution to metal & what an icon he was (and still is). I'm sad for my rock brethren and for Dio's wife & family. Hope they get through it ok
