    Hi I know lots of people are having problems with UPC speeds dropping. My problem isn't really about the speed dropping. At any time day or night my connection suddenly turns woeful, the thing is the d/l speed is usually about 7.00, but i will get a low upload and very very high ping, i hit ping levels of 500-1300. I know these are taken in the evening but it happens during the day too.

    This is one taken today at 5.00pm.

    Then two hours later at 7.00pm

    Then 12 minutes later its goes back to this

    I am on the UPC 10 mb package and i use the router they gave me, netgear. Any ideas ?

    this is the usual speed i get, using the word usual is being nice

    Wireless or wired connection to the modem? Is it an all-in-one modem/router, or are the separate?

    More likely it's down to UPC, and nothing you can do about it.

    thanks for reply, Im using wireless for my laptop but it would be the same on xbox which is wired connection is still shocking. Its the combo modem/router. Its still the same now of good download ,bad upload and high ping.
