simlock of o2 mobile

    Hi, I'm new here, so say hello to you first.

    I'm a vodafone user, and I want to buy a new phone from ebay.
    the seller said the phone is from o2 ireland.
    So I want to know in general is o2 locked all their phones or only iphone.

    ps. the phone module I want to buy is: nokia E63

    Yes, but the seller not sure.
    And he said he can give all the code
    the phone came with.

    Another way, if I buy this mobile, can I ask o2 for unlock code?

    I found this on vodafone website:

    Unlock a phone on the Vodafone Ireland network

    So maybe I can get the unlock code from vodafone?

    An e63 is expensive to unlock in anycase. €15 would cover it

    I had get my phone, it's new one, runs perfect, and with simlock...
    I find an India shop to unlock it and cost for 10 euros.

    And thanks for everyone's help.
