I was using the car configurator on Opel.ie for the Opel Insiginia and I noticed this:

    attachment.php?attachmentid=114169&stc=1&d=1274100648

Please don't tell me that a cigarette lighter/12V power supply is an extra for this car. I don't need the cigarette lighter but for charging my Garmin and Phone, some form of 12V supply is a must. Anybody know does one come as standard on the SE model?

Power supply is standard, the actual lighter bit for cigarettes is extra. There is a blank piece where that bit usually goes.

Smoking pack is an extra on most new vehicles now, sometimes it's free, sometimes it's a small cost.

Make sure that there is a USB port in the car as well, Opel left it out of some of the cars as it was giving trouble and they can't be retrofitted. Also be aware of the fact that some of them have been fitted with dodgy flywheels - mine was a week waiting for a replacement one to be fitted

Maybe it was a 220v supply they were fitting as the option?

I got this in my car from factory. Very useful. Allows me to operate laptop & printer in car when required.
