Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi guys,

cousin bought a second hand van 2 months ago. long story short, no sign fo the log book. he chased it up with the seller and all they do is tell him a cock and bull story about how its been sent off and maybe lost in the post (yet another example of why you should only buy off people you feel are trust worthy, this guy is 100% scroat).

so my question is this, what recourse does he have? gards don't want to know before you ask

It's not a criminal matter so there is nothing the Gardai can do

Shannon seem to be on the ball now, I bought a car 2 weeks ago and I had the Cert 8 days later

It doesn't really sound like a criminal issue they should be chasing up.

turns out no change of ownership has been requested. who (what department) can he contact, explain his case and get a log book issued to him?

Odd that they wouldn't be interested in changing ownership as any fines your cousin incurs goes to the old owner.
I hope he got a receipt for the car to prove ownership in case he's stopped?

scroats do not give receipts. scroats that pull stunts like this certainly never do :(
