    Hi,

In our apartment, our bathroom extractor fans are tied to the lightswitch, they stay on for an annoyingly long amount of time after the light is turned off, like 5-6 minutes.

Is it possible to tweak the amount of time? These particular extractor fans are branded "Xtract".

    Thanks,

    David

On some brands there's an adjustment screw near the fan's terminal block. You could just re-wire it so the fan is on when the light is on if you're stuck.

It stays on for a good reason,to extract moisture from the bathroom and stop mould and milldue forming and also prevent moisture from sticking to the walls and ceiling and paint flaking and peeling over time.

5 mins is not along time, its about right.

Some extractor fans stay on for up to 10 mins.

Other solution would be to fit an uprated fan with an adjustable timer onboard if you find that the room air is not sufficiently changed in the 5 mins.
