Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The bitch is back!!!
after a few years i have done up me ould honda shadow and am delighted to be on her regularly again

once upon a time..she was my first (and only) vehicle.
rode the living daylights out of her for 6 years...and i found that towards the end all the fun was gone from it.
rain, sleet & snow...i would use her constantly...coming home from tesco with giant pizzas sticking up out of the saddle bags...

but one day it got too much. don't remember the exact breaking point..but i grew weary of the bike..and got meself a nice van.

so the bike has been fairly dormant for approx 4 years now.

but recently..i got her done up again..removed some small amounts of rust with some sandpaper w/wd40....got the seat restored...and BOOM..tis he smmer of love all over again. i forgot how much i loved it all in the beginning...even the small things like how she is always a conversation piece with strangers when i'm out gallavanting.

anyone else ever go through the weird transition of hardcore to fairweather biker??
(or whatever way you want to put it)
have t say...fairweather is much better for an old family man like meself

anyway..apologies for the rant. its been ages since i posted in this forum...and ages since i had the pleasure of briars and thorns ripping my bare arms at 60mph.

    its good to be back.

heres a pic of me in my old mc club to make up for my pointless thread:

    thanks lads

loads of people got wind of this story..
if your children have sex with u2 they'll grow up to be rich and famous.
If you look you can see the queue of parents who brought their children for the festivities.
larry mullets took me & my brother round behind the hay stack and de-flowered us, while bonobo covered himself in peanut butter and screamed himself into a sensual extacy while watching.

    .....

    ok sorry...
    Real story:
that pic was from the Kilmeaden (waterford) custom bike show 1988/89 (?)

Welcome back! Nothing wrong with a fair weather biker. Who takes a spin in the sleet and rain unless they have to make the commute?
