YouTube has crossed the two billion views a day milestone five years from its launch. That is nearly double the prime-time audience of all three major US television networks combined. To celebrate its fifth anniversary, You Tube launched the 'YouTube five year channel'. On this channel, users will find the 'My YouTube story' project which features people describing how YouTube has changed or shaped their lives. The channel also hosts an interactive timeline containing some of the most important moments and memes in the website's history. According to YouTube, the average user spends 15 minutes a day on YouTube, compared to the five hours a day people spend watching TV.

On some networks, YouTube is 30% of traffic.

Mobile particularly is not designed to handle streaming for more than about one or two persons per sector.

Which is probably one of the reasons for 3 to limit the data allowance on their network.
