Just wondering if all you Dubliners can help.

Where would be the best place to look to rent a house, that is close to the Luas Red Line to Red Cow and close to Harcourt Street (Rathmines end of it).

Not looking for an apartment or flat or sharing, and does need to be a house. Not really sure what area would be best.

Perhaps some of you fantastic people could help :)

Monastery Gate or Monastery Heath both in Clondalkin are nice estates, while also only a short walk form the luas and the red cow.

That's a quite a big geographical distance even by Dublin standards.

Do you want to rent near Harcourt St or the Red Cow? I'm a little confused as you don't say where is for work and where for living. There's probably plenty of choice around Red Cow with Drimnagh and Clondalkin close by. Rathmines/Ranelagh/South Circular Road/Harolds Cross areas would be the best bet for near Harcourt St and then get a bus into town to connect with a luas at liffey st. Pretty much all buses go up O'Connell St.

Given the choice I'd rent in Rathmines/Ranelagh/South Circular Road/Harolds Cross areas and commute to Red Cow as you'd be closer to town for weekends.

Ok the Red Line Luas runs on the southside from Red Cow to Inchicore, Rialto, James St and then goes to Heuston and crosses the river to the National Museum, Four Courts, Smithfield, Jervis St and Abbey St, ending up at Connolly Station and the Point.

The Luas Green Line runs entirely southside from Dundrum to Ranelagh to Harcourt St to Stephens Green.

So you can live near the Green Line (Rathmines), get it in to Stephens Green, walk across the city centre 15 mins to Abbey St and get the REd Line out to the Red Cow.

You'll need to look at a map! :)

thanks for the advice. one of us works at harcourt street and the other needs the luas to red cow, both for work.

Will take a look at the places suggested, just getting all options at the mo! But thanks a mill :D

Cork St area would be ideal I'd say, 10 mins to Fatima Luas Stop (Red Line) and no more than a 20 min walk to Harcourt St.
