I heard about this on RTE1 this morning. Seems to be 2 feuding traveller families. Kid put the finger in a milk carton and brought it to hospital.

Yeah and because of this, many estates in town were on virtual lockdown by the gardai. In my estate, i had a paddy wagon and detective car parked outside my house. Then everyone coming in and out of the estate were stopped and questioned and many had their cars searched. Its a bloody disgrace that we have to put up with this ****.

Cloughleigh and Waterpark were the same last night too. I spoke to one of the gardai and he said they werent from ennis, they had been draughted in.

This is a feud going on a long time.

There was an incident in Brownies barbers, machetes used and one guy nearly lost an arm.

A womens car attacked outside Cloughleigh school

A shooting at a house in Waterpark.

A grenade thrown into a house in Cloughleigh.

A house in Cloughleigh last week had widows broken and the car smashed up.

A few weeks ago a fella was stabbed with a screwdriver outside Cloughleigh school but was wearing a bullet proof vest.

Where is this going to end??

The attack near the school was between feuding familes of the ennis travelling community. This is linked to the same 'crowd' of travellers who through the grenade through the window of a house in ennis last june. This has nothing to do with Limerick people.

Is it just me with a warped sense of humour??

I found it very funny reading in the Irish Examiner today how the man's 14 year old son not only popped the finger in a milk carton but drove at high speed to the hospital:D

Most of the Limerick crowd you refer to come from Clare.
Half of Moyross, (The bad half) is in County Clare.

Why is this and any shootings outside of dublin blamed on limerick? Does anyone have any proof or a link??

It was clarified earlier in thread that this is, allegedly, infighting between two settled traveller families in Ennis. It seems to be related to a marriage bust up. Last year, there was trouble which was drug related and that involved a Limerick element. But who knows for sure where one fight ends and the other begins?
