saving small amounts

whats the best way to save small amounts each week eg around ten euro? It would be mainly for presents, emergencies or maybe a holiday

I was thinking of the easysaver account but you can only withdraw something like 4 times a year

I will be transferring the money from my main account probably by direct debit

I know ebs have an account called a regular saver and you can withdraw when ever you want. I have one there!

I find RaboDirect quite handy for this. You transfer the money in from your current account either whenever you can afford it or by setting up a regular withdrawal and then you can transfer it back in whenever you want (obviously giving it a few days to clear). You can put in/take out as much as you want and they also give 20 euro to set up your account (not a lot but still).

IS there any account where you give a months notice to withdraw?

There's the likes of PTSB's new saver account which requires 21 day's notice...
