Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi quick question. employer says that i can apply for scheme and that must order bike etc, before december 2010...but bike shop will not get paid till feb 2011...
anyone had a similar experience on this , for me, it seems ridiculous waiting so long..... do you think some bike hops would let you pick up th ebike b4 if they have an agreement with employer or is that too much to expect?

yes they might, when they have done business with the company before, and when they have a copy of the purchase order.

I recently got a bike on the scheme, the bike shop owner wants to know why he has not been paid yet. Does he come after me or my employer?

Sounds similar to the Dept of Education scheme to me.

May seem ridiculous, but there's nothing to stop the employer running a scheme like this. I would be surprised if the bike shop would be prepared to supply the bike now though.

I would also be surprised if this would work anyway under most schemes. If your employer is using salary sacrifice arrangements, you need to promise to forego your salary before the bike is supplied to you, which essentially means you would be joining the scheme now, rather than in December

Your employer buys the bike from the shop, so they can only go after the employer, not you.
