Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I just got my date- 5 weeks until my test! I am sick at the thought. I know if I went now I would fail. I still stall sometimes, am not great at observation/reactionto hazards still. I know my faults but I still make the same mistakes.
Do you think I can get good enough in 5 weeks? I'm not starting from scratch obviously but I would say I'm only 70-80% the standard of a passer!
Can anyone help me out with a plan? How did you prepare for your test? I know I need to practice the reverse around the corner, 3 point turn etc but is there more little bits like this?

I got 40/40 on my test last week and i only studied for about 2 weeks..Don`t worry..just do as many tests as you can.I recommend you to use the Cd instead of using the book.

Think he means the actual test.

OP, get some lessons from a good instructor to confirm your faults & clear them up. You'd be surprised at how quickly an instructor can have you clear on how to do reverse around a corner, turn in a road etc.

    I agree with donegalfella.....

Also take a look at the reference video tutorials on www.DrivingTestTips.ie and get in contact with a driving instructor.

I have my test on Monday and i applied for it the 20th April so were in the same position. I didn't feel 100% ready when i booked it but since then i have been driving nearly every day and I got pre-tests for the same time i would be doing my test (9 in the morning) just so i can see what the traffic would be like.
I feel like i can pass due to my driving as I feel I'm observering even more then i should and I've been more confidant with driving, it is my nerves that will get the better of me! I have rescue remedy that i will take the morning of my test so fingers crossed i'll Pass first time!

Thanks for the replies. I already had 11 lessons the beginning and have been practicing nearly everyday for the last 4 months. I have my pretests booked already so will be going back this week for more time with my instructor. I'm just worried because I still make mistakes.
I can drive the car fine, and my observation is improving, but I'm worried about the three point turn and the reverse around the corner, and what route I'll be brought since there are a few junctions I haven't even attempted! I'll see how it goes with my instructor this week before I write myself off!
