So you have probably all seen those green lines painted on the roads on what appears to be the Great Limerick Run route.

Im wondering if its up to the GLR or the council to remove them.

The Great Limerick Run have not bothered to reply to my e-mails and deleted my comment from their facebook page.

    They will just wear off.

Back in the nissan classic days there was a Start Finish line at the hill down from LIT. They left it there every year then came back and refreshed it for the next year. No doubt we'll get the same from these

The Great Limerick Run organisers are only interested in making money, no surprise that they haven't responded to you Berty.

I assume it's a light paint and that it will wash away over the next few weeks / months.

I do know that the City Council were unaware of the organisers doing this at the time.

To be honest the green paint on the road doesnt bother me as much as limerick stealth bus stops and pedestrian crossings....hopefully some of these will wear off and can be moved to better locations :P

Maybe the GLR will never reply to my e-mail but as some boardsies were involved with the GLR maybe they might point this thread out to them.

Well if they can paint the road then maybe the rest of us can paint the roads if we feel like it so. I would paint messages to other road users that p*ss me off like

"Dear 04 LK 12345 Learn to fvcking indicate"

    I believe it was two.

One politely asking them to clean up their Green Lines - Then a subsequent communication threatening to burn them, BURN THEM ALL!!!!

No just the one e-mail. Misuse of plural.

As one of their "Volunteers". Screw them. They made enough money out of this.

Are they waiting for the green lines to wear off? They probably will just in time for next year.

I've mailed them thankning them for the green lines and requested that they leave them there as they brighten the place up. They came straight back to me agreeing.

Fair question and fair complaint Berty. It wouldn't be that hard for them to use some sort of marking that would wear off in a few days instead or perhaps ask the council in advance who would hopefully tell them to use some sort of marking that would wear off in a few days instead.
