From a sprawling nebula of etheric sounds made as Deepchord, Variant, CV313, and Intrusion, the duo have culled a rack of dubs, reworks and brand new material on this, their most substantial release since the now sought-after 12" trilogy on Modern Love. Over four LPs we're treated to 13 tracks of purified groove reductions made on vintage analog equipment, teasing out the infidelities of archaic equipment and blending with field recordings of paranormal activity in their signature style. The discs break down as so... Disc 1 features four CV313 reworks, reprises and rewires of Deepchord tracks, including their outstanding 'Electromagnetic Dowsing'. Disc 2 includes an Intrusion dub of 'Infinit-1' and three other cloudy CV313 grooves. Disc 3 you'll find Intrusion's superb 'Narcotic Intake' of 'SpatialDimension' - sounding as close as they've ever come to steppin' T++ styles and all the better for it - while on Disc 4 the three Variant tracks render their sound at its most diffuse and opiated. If I was to open a dedicated dub techno style studio for budding artists who would never normally have access to the hardware used on the basic channel/Detroit techno stuff, would anybody be interested in paying to use it?
I'm talking about a nice room in an easily accessible part of Dublin (close to city) with the likes of SC Prophet 5, RE-201 Space Echo, 808, 303, MPC, Vermona DRM1, Moog filters, analogue desk, etc. all wired up and ready to go. Been toying with the idea of doing something like this for a while.

I think limiting the studio to dub techno only would be a bit too niche,
and you may not get the numbers you need for it.

Sounds like a great idea though, thats a nice setup for many other styles of techno.

Well, really I'd be open to people using it to make whatever they want but the kit-list would mean it only really appeals to certain genres. I'd have no problem with the next U2/Westlife album being made there if they pay the bills
