Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking for reccomendations for a word processor that I can download free of charge to run on Win7. This is for an email I have to send, so the reciever will have to be able to open it, probably with word, or MS works.

    Thanks.

Open Office Writer - save the docs as .rtf or .doc and it should open in word no problem.

    +1 for OpenOffice

you could also try AbiWord. i think it can save .doc or rich text format. less bulky of a download than OpenOffice.

I used Openoffice and Microsoft Office till I discovered Textmaker 2010 (you have to pay though - but its worth it).
Best of the lot (for me).

    Faster (much).
    Better spell checker/thesaurus
    Better customisable buttons
Creates easy and password protected PDF's
    Easier to use
The tabs in it are a godsend.
    etc...

At the very least, its also worth checking out.

I don't want to have to pay for it though. Or rather, can't pay for one.:(

Openoffice then is your best route by far.
