Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Karcher Detergent Bottle - impossible to open

    Hello

Maybe I am missing something so I am hoping someone on here can set me straight.

I recently bought a Karcher pressure washer out in B&Q. Lovely machine and works great.

The machine has a detergent bottle which slips in nicely at the back of the machine. I filled it up at time of first opening and have used the machine maybe three or four times since.

The bottle now needs refilling. The thing is the bloody top won't come off the bottle.

I tried contacting Karcher in the UK at their support address but have heard nothing.

Has anyone on here got a similar machine with this kind of bottle for detergent (pictures attached). Has anyone got any ideas on how to get the top off or where to go now if the thing is stuck?

I'd try and open it with a vise grips or adjustable pliers if I were you. From the look of the second pic it looks as if the lid is locked into place with the black things on the lid

It looks like there's some kind of locking mechanism on it. Have you tried pushing down on it hard from above and turning anti-clockwise at the same time?

Try pushing it down the twisting(Like a bleach bottle),Judging by the 2nd pic It looks like them teeth are stopping you twisting it!

    Thanks for the quick responses

I tried pushing down but the neck just started collapsing.

I tried using a vise-grip and after a bit of jostling the thing eventually came off along with a fair bit of the little teeth around the cap.

    Cheers.

    Hi,
I just found a simple way to fill this bottle.
Use funnel and insert it gently to the the top of the bottle.
Fill slowly to let air bubble out or squeeze the bottle first to mak it suck the liquid you fill.
I extended a little the end of my funnel to suit the job needed.
See pic of a funnel here:

Great first post, and I love the picture of the funnel:D. But if you wouldn't mind not dragging up old threads in the future!
