There should be a way of filtering post to just view infracted ones

The same way you can set a filter to few the posts with the most thanks you should be able to view by infractions because if infractions are getting handed out it means something interesting is probably happening.

I don't know if interesting is the right way of looking at these. A lot of them are pretty mundane.

Give one solid, respectable reason... Otherwise this just harps back to similar issues people have with wanting a 'No Thanks' button, purely because we have a Thanks button.

Pointless features focussing on the negative aspect of Boards/Posts. No thank you.
    I don't see the connection:confused:

I view the posts filtered by thanks so I can have a quick way of viewing the most stand out posts of the day and just in my experience infracted posts normally mean something funny happened.

So people can see what is/isn't allowed on different forums, as infractable behaviour varies quite a bit across forums?

So people can see there is consistency in infracted posts?

I can see a number of 'respectable' reasons, although it doesn't appear overly useful except for looky loos.

A post can only be infracted once unlike thanks.

Why would you want to view them?

Posts that have resulted in yellow and red cards have been given those cards as a reminder for the person who posted something unacceptable. As well as being for the benefit of the individual member stepping over the line, they're also for the benefit of the individual forums, helping forum threads to stay within what's allowed by politeness, reasonable copon and the forum rules.

Without being all hoity toity about it, they're not issued for entertainment and they're not filtered for entertainment. This isn't a Gladiators outtake.

    That's what charters are for.

Admins maintain the consistency of infractions, and any user is free to question an infraction. No need for the general Boards populous to police the consistency of infractions.

    See randylonghorn's reply.

This would be a pointless waste of server load, only to serve the morbid curiosity of some users.

The point of the site is to facilitate discussion, anything else that is done for people is a bonus given that most people use the site for free

It might be more useful than 'moderator note, see post #1548756' to see what is not allowed. Dunno, it is a bit pointless.

Ehm, what 'thanks' filter is the OP talking about?

Why bother, its not worth the coding work it has no benefit to the site at all on any level

    Yes, that's a core purpose.

Does that mean that it should stoop to the lowest common denominator of a minority of ghouls who get a kick out of voyeuring 'drama'?

If one were to adopt that approach where would it stop? ... when Boards had become /b/? ... or would you be ok with an even lower standard provided there were users who would see that as "serving" them?

True that. That is why feedback was cleaned up. To many lowest common denominator types cruising it for kicks.

    :pac:

Not going to happen for a plenthora of reasons, most of which are outlined above.
