Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ok well i have a 5770 in this pc which i am basically using as a media centre. now i have just baught myself a nice 42" G20 panasonic plasma. I am basically looking to get my Gfx card to run 100hz refresh when playin films just to make the picture as crisp as it possibly can be. now i know the tv supports up to 600hz so 100 shouldnt be a problem for the tv. so again does any1 know how to force higher refresh rates than 60hz at 1080p?

The refresh rate has to do with your monitor / TV and nothing to do with the graphics card.

You should be able to override the refresh rate in the ATI/AMD control panel, but it can be dangerous of the monitor does not support the rate you set it to.

I don't think they work like you think they do Tom!

From what I can tell (only googling here) its just a better quality of 60hz, and the 600hz thing is just a marketing ploy

    See this http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1154446,
read the tv manual re pc to tv settings,if a film is not hd ,then i think 720px576 is the best res settings for say dvds.and it depends on what cable you are using ,eg vga or hdmi. You set refresh rate on the pc ,display settings, my hd tv has 60htz max for pc input.
I dont think hdmi can work properly over 60mhz,and it also depends on the dvd, ie some dvd s are transfered from film in various levels of quality.ie hdmi =60mhz max
if you want super hd quality buy a blue ray player and blue ray films.
You cant get blue ray quality from a dvdrom pc drive.
SAY you record eastenders it will look better in sd mode, ie 720 than 1080 mode ,unless you are recording from skymovies hd ,ie 95 per cent of tv is designed for sdtv,720 p playback.
