We're thinking of switching estate agents.... been list for a long time with same one
Anybody know what happens if we switch & the previous agent comes back to tell us of an offer made from when they held the property on their books.

If we accepted an offer via previous agent would the fees have to be paid too the new agent also?

Tell the EA you are taking the house off the market and once all the dust settles put it back on again with someone else. Simple as that.

Alternatively have you tried reducing price?

You pay the agent who introduces the buyer to the house. Any new agent should be made aware of the fact that another agent was involved. The question of dealing with offers made to the old agent should be discussed. In reality it is most unlikely to happen. Anyone who saw the house before the change of agent will want to see it again before making an offer. That will automatically get the new agent involved.
