Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

according to the commisionaires comments at the bottom of the results page , people have complained about the riders littering the roads with their empty bottles and food wrappers.
do they expect the riders to stop at the next village and search for the nearest bin?
what crazy people made this complaint about the one day in the whole year a bike race passes their house?

A fun day today - that climb was steep, was wishing I had a 25 on the bike.

Blog post up for the day: http://ryansherlock.blogspot.com/2010/05/2010-fbd-ras-stage-6.html

Highest 20 minute NP wattage in the last few weeks today - funny what 6 days of racing does to you :)
Another excellent performance today Ryan. I'm pleased to see that crash has not left too much in the way of lingering injuries. Keep up the great work - I'm looking forward to seeing you rolling into Skerries on Sunday (those climbs on the final circuit will suit you down to the ground!)

how come theres no usher teams\riders (xcept for N.Delahaye) in Ras this year, surely they've strong enough riders to make a team?

Took me awhile, but I've finally posted some FBD RAS Stage 1 photos on Flickr. Nothing fancy or action-packed as they were taken before the official start; just taking advantage of the sunny weather.

Another fun day in the RAS. Got over the climbs with the yellow jersey group. To do that 1620VAM over Shay Elliott - took us 8:36 to get over it! a new PB for me.

I'll have a blog video up later. Thanks to everyone who was out cheering us on!

The gates of Ardgillan demesne in Balbriggan is probably the best spot. It's just at the end of the steepest part of the Blackhills climb.

    Shay Elliot in 8:40

    I make that about 6W/kg.

The way they are coming in is via Balrothery - the first climb is out of Balrothery along past a junction called Cross of the Cage - this junction is also at the end of the road RobFowl mentions - you can catch them there on the first pass, then walk back down the road to the Ardgillan gates(only about 500m away) to catch the end of the 2 climbs up Blackhills

What does he know about anything, sat in his car all day following cyclists around

Needs to get himself a real job:D

Only another day to go Rob, then you can return to sanity! Hopefully the day job is a little more mundane (although your friends in Skerries get more than their fair share of lunatic cyclists clogging up their waiting rooms)!

Some pictures took this morning when the riders went through Kilcock.
Hope the guy who crashed is ok, with another lad we helped him back on his bike and put the chain back on. f*** cars parked everywhere.

Great day out in Skerries today. First time round there was a break of 3, but Chris Newton managed to get away on the penultimate lap, coming back onto the Strand d'elysees second time with a 32s lead over 4 other riders. The bunch closed them down on the final lap, and it ended up with a bunch sprint with German John Degenkolb getting the victory. The yellow jersey came in the middle of the bunch, so there was no change to the overall lead

    Final Stage Result:
    1, John Degenkolb
    2, Matt Cronshaw
    3, Peter Williams

    Final overall result

1, Alexander Wetterhall (Sweden - Team Sprocket Pro) 24 hours 44 mins 13 secs
2, Peter Williams (Motorpoint Marshalls Pasta) at 59 secs
3, Dan Craven (Britain Rapha Condor Sharp) at 1 min 32 secs

Ryan Sherlock got the County rider - congratulations on a great all-round performance Ryan
