Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Amazing to think Milito prob won't get a kick of a ball during World Cup

Imagine adefence competing with Millito, Aguero and Messi:cool:

    Not for this defence.

You'd have to give Tevez a game, or the moaning would be unbearable.:pac:

And then there Higuain to accomodate.

    Best set of strikers ever?

Ok, I won't put it past Maradonna to play at least 4 strikers:)

    Van Bommel booked

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,210 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Have a small bit of cash on Van Bommel getting booked... he's made 3 fouls so far. Better happen.

3-0 also looking possible at the mo ;)

    Your wish is granted. :D

How depressing it must be for German football fans over the past eight years.

They really do get the short end of the stick in major finals

    Lost 2002 World cup final

Bayer Leverkusen lost 2002 Champions league final

    Lost Euro 2008 final

Bayern Munich lost 2010 Champions league final

    Edit: Two more!

Dortmund lost 2002 Uefa cup final

Bremen lost 2009 Uefa cup final

Absolutely delighted for Eto'o and Zanetti.

Meh, its not like they are short of trophies or play awe inspiring football.

Inter ground them down tonight, two great goals won it in the end along with some excellent defending.
Another excellent night for Jose. Will be interesting to see how the Real Madrid project works out for him.

Ronnie Whelan " Is José a genius or is he just lucky?"

    Get your coat Ronnie.

Can't believe Ronnie said he wouldn't like to win a CL final that way. I know the majority would love to win it by playing to their teams strengths.

One of the few things he got right actually. Anyone could see that he isn't. Poor timing to be going on about how poor a team Inter are.

Mourinho single handedly won that game. Nothing at all to do with the players who are frankly ordinary

Jaysus RTE were talking some awful shíte there.

Thought Webb reffed it well enough. Might get a few decent matches in the world cup.

The real final was the Barca-Inter semi.

Inter are a really great defensive team, they really put their bodies on the line in their tackling. Hope Jose doesnt go to Madrid but it seems like it will happen.

    WHAT?

You don't think a player who scores 70 goals in 97 league games in Italy and 7 in 11 CL games is a world class striker?

Wow. I don't know where to start.

Paul Scholes wouldn't have needed to take a touch in either of those situations because he is the only player ever who has been up to the standard.

Wouldn't it be very unfortunate if Zanetti dropped the trophy down on Platini's head. :D

Platini really does look like a priest handing out holy communion. Especially when he tapped one of the inter players on the head after putting the medal around his neck.

Calm down, son. Stats aren't everything. There's too many strikers, I rate as better than him, to call him world class. If you think he is, fair enough.
