Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lads Blackpool are terrific. A breath of fresh air. They really only know one way to play and thats to attack attack attack! Beautiful to watch, constantly to feet, always looking for the man in space. Never panic. Cardiff are very dangerous on the break though, its rather typical of them that although they've been largely out-played, they've hit the net twice and are still very much in it. Chopra will need watching and the combination of Ledley/Whittingham breaking from midfield is another threat. There's gonna be more goals for sure.

The playoff final really is the match of the year!

    3 times :pac:

Close offside decision, was correct though. Very close.

Cannot wait for the second half. It is obviously boiling out there, by the 70 minute mark we'll see mistakes, tiredness. Subs will have a huge impact. I fully expect Blackpool to go for another one and then let Cardiff run at them for the rest of the match.

    Great game this so far.

Anyone else think the Blackpool keeper is a bit dodgy?

Rachubka is a better keeper imo. I'm not sure whether he's injured or he was dropped.

i wouldn't put Gilkes at fault for either of the goals, but, he is a bit suspect for crosses.

I don't know anything about either of them tbh. But this chap should have done much better for Ledley's goal and for the disallowed one, imo.

Bad career move, thought hes better than playing for a League 1 side. Good thing they won the division this year.

They're not bad for seasiders :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,477 ✭✭✭grenache

Southern was surely pushed in the back there! If i were Cardiff i'd be flinging balls into the box as Gilkes is clearly dodgy when claiming crosses. Hold on blackpool!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,524 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

    Should've crossed earlier!

Good for Coleman to finish like that. Would have liked Cardiff to do it though.

Yeh if Chelsea can beat Stoke and Wigan by 7/8 goals I think I will be putting my house on them reaching double figures at home to these guys. Feel sorry for Cardiff but dont think they would survive with their financial situation and the curse of Risdale !!

Last season tells us that they'll have plenty of company

I reckon blackpool will be rushing the final part of the new stadium, played with a 12000 capacity this season (only two stands open I think?) and it wasn't due to be finished for a few years but with PL footie, surely 12k isn't big enough?

Straight back down, 16 points, Holloway sacked by Easter.

    Good game though.

Delighted for Holloway and Blackpool, they've played with creative endeavour all season and thoroughly deserve to go up.

44th team to play in the Prem

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,172 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Pah, wanted Cardiff to win. I think they're a better team and would have faired better in the Premier League than Blackpool will. Plus I doubt they'll get a chance to go up again for a long time.

Also I'm half Welsh so would have just liked to have seen a Welsh team in the Premier League.
