Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi guys, I'm a fan of command and conquer and recently discovered that you can download some of the olds games for free off the site http://www.commandandconquer.com/classic

So I had a look and wanted to download C&C Red alert.

So I downloaded it and was following the instructions that were linked http://www.cncworld.org/?page=features/tutorials/rafree

In order to get this to work I had to download magic ISO Virtual CD-rom...

Now the problem I'm having is that in the instructions the games ISO file shows up like this rafree2xp.png

But mine shows up as the stack file thing (the one that looks like a bunch of books tied up) so when I tried extracting it (I have winRAR), and using magic ISO It wasn't working for me. (also the file type for the ISO reads "WinRAR Archive" which I know is wrong)

I was able to get the menu to show up, but when I tried to change the compatibility options it wouldn't load or install like the guide said. None of the setup icons would load or do anything.

I'm new to this sort of thing and am a little confused as to what's happening.

Does anyone know If I'm doing something wrong? Or how to get around it?

Try daemon tools lite to mount the iso, I think it's on filehippo.com.

Cool I'll give it a whirl.

Edit: Just tried it and my antivirus crapped itself and quarantined it.

Thanks for the replies guys, finally got it working. I had to convert the file to an iso file with Magic disk. The guide never mentioned it, oh well.

    Still thanks for the help!
