    Nina Simone - 22nd Century
Jimi Hendrix - 1983... A Merman I Should Turn To Be
The Chambers Brothers - Time Has Come Today
Neil Young - Cowgirl In The Sand
Neil Young - Down By The River
    Grateful Dead - Wharf Rat
Van Der Graaf Generator - A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers
Pink Floyd - Careful With That Axe Eugene
    Pink Floyd - Echoes
    Pink Floyd - Dogs
    Pink Floyd - Time
Pink Floyd - The Narrow Way (it's in three short parts but added up they're well over seven minutes long)
Hawkwind - Spirit Of The Age

Mike Oldfields first three albums Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn all consist of two long tracks (or two long tracks and one short song in the case of Ommadawn). They're all great. They're mainly instrumental though so aren't songs as such. Another great long instrumental is Interstellar Overdrive by Pink Floyd.

I won't mention Jazz, since 7+ is standard enough.

    I'd go with...

Shellac - The End of Radio

    or

The CD version of Lysol by The Melvins (mixed as one continuous track)

"Hexen Definitive / Strife Knot" by The Fall is 6:57, so I'll go for the Peel Session version.

I could go on for ages but I'll narrow it down to a few. :P

    Orion - Metallica
    War Pigs - Black Sabbath
    The Last Baron - Mastodon
    2112 - Rush
    Siberian Khatru - Yes

The Medley by the Beatles. 8 Songs from Abbey Road that run into each other, 16-ish minutes. It's "You Never Give Me Your Money" to "The End". It was supposed to be 9 songs, with "Her Majesty" in between "Mean Mr. Mustard" and "Polythene Pam", and you can hear the ending chord of "Mean Mr. Mustard" at the start of "Her Majesty". Absolute brilliance

Have to add Ramada Inn to the list of 7+ minute Neil Young songs.

Here is another song for the list and I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned already:
"Awaken" by Yes. It comes in at just over 13 minutes and is on the album "Going For The One". Rick Wakeman's keyboard work, in particular, is just fantastic (piano and church organ). A bit of the piano piece used to be used during the show that Rick used to present on Radio Nova ("Rick's Revolution").... and Jon Anderson gives a great vocal performance.

Asphalt World by Suede is great. Not generally a huge fan of long guitar solos but Butler's is superb in this one.

Live version of The Man Don't Give A Fcuk by the Super Furry Animals generally crashes through the seven minute barrier when played live. What a tune!

    Save Me - Avenged Sevenfold
Old Love (live) - Eric Clapton
Tunnel of Love (Live) - Dire Straits

    and the ultimate

The Great Escape - Seventh Wonder

Too Close To Heaven - The Waterboys (10 minutes of pure pop/gospel perfection, actually the live version is even better, clocks in at over 13 minutes)

Broke My Neck - Echo & The Bunnymen, 7 minutes of brilliant controlled music, filled with dark and distorted guitar playing by Will Sergeant and the late great Pete de Freitas constant drumming make this an errie song to listen to, best to hear it with the lights out (Hard to imagine, this band at one stage were at the cusp of greatness and threw it away!!!)

Many of the examples given are of the rock variety, particularly prog rock, but during the '70s there were many disco tunes whose remixes came to over 7 minutes.

The original album version (never mind the remixes) of "Love Hangover" by Diana Ross comes in at 7 minutes 49 seconds. This is my favourite Diana Ross tune and it is a brilliant piece of disco music. The slow funky groove at the start gives you no clue as to where the tempo and beat will end up!
