Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vaio Laptop Video Driver

I had Windows 7 Ultimate working on a Vaio Laptop perfectly for the last 5 months and all of a sudden it would boot to the windows logo and just hang.

I eventually decided to reinstall from scratch & am booting fine to the desktop now.

My problem now is that I can't get the graphics driver installed. It's showing as a standard VGA adapter when I know it has a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 with Turbo cache.

When I try to update the driver it just say's that Windows already has the best driver for the device!!!! :(

try the nvidia site for the latest drivers.

Had a gaming laptop years ago and for some reason nvidia didnt support some mobile models(might have changed since)I got the drivers off this site http://www.omegadrivers.net/

I have got the driver from the NVIDIA site & the fact that it ran perfectly for five months tells me it can be sorted but Windows isn't having any of it for whatever reason :(

Perhaps try and find an older driver if the one you are getting of the nvidia site is possibly a newer version than the one your laptop shipped with?

Found an older Vista driver & it installed fine.

Funny how the official NVIDIA Win7 driver would not work? It is a VAIO we're dealing with though!!! :D

Thanks for the replies & advice Lab_Mouse ;)
