User Illusion (Guns and Roses Tribute Act) - May 29th

    User Illusion, the much lauded Guns and Roses tribute act who recently featured on RTE2's "Karl Spain Wants To Rock", will play The Mezz Venue (downstairs) on Eustace Street in Templebar on Saturday May 29th.

    The Paddy Usher band and other guests will provide live music from 7pm before User Illusion take to the stage for a monster 2hr30min+ show!!!

    Rock DJ's will follow playing right thru til 3am.

    Just wondering if anyone has seen User Illusion before?

    How do you rate them versus other Guns N Roses tribute acts?

    What were the gig highlights?

    Saw them a couple of months ago and had a great night, the band dressed up like GnR and had lots of energy on stage. They really played their parts well and sounded great.

    Good to hear they went down well, a few heads of the metalireland forum didnt seem to like em none too much... accusations flying of them being too like the original band in attitude... not quite sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

    didn't get a reply from this illusionmgmt email account when I asked how to get advance tickets. Does anyone have info on this?
    When do they enter the stage?

    they're available to buy from the venue (ask for bar manager in The Mezz bar upstairs), or can pay at the door aswell.

    opening act kicks off at around 8pm, main band on at 9.30pm or so playing a 2hr30min+ set with classic & modern rock DJ mix on afterwards.
