    Hey

I had a big portion of decking installed at the rear of the house in 2008 and that year didnt get around to staining it. Although the wood was already pre-treated I then bought cuprinol decking stain( boston teak ) and painted all the decking. The decking has grooves in it and looked really nice freshly painted. Unfortunatly once the summer was over last year the stain had for the most part worn off , i spoke with one of the "painting specialists" in B&Q and they said they never heard of that happening before ... Anyway long story short it needs to be painted again , but it is soul destroying to think that a days work and around 80 euros worth of stain will probably have worn away by the end of the summer.

So Does anyone know does it need to be sanded or pre-treated or something , why is it coming off so easily ?

    Thanks a million
