    Hi. Not sure if this is the right section. Had a look and couldn't find anything 100% related to the question but here it is anyway;

    i was wondering if anyone would have suggestions as to the best place to advertise a holiday home for rental purposes? I'm helping someone to advertise a house they have in Carlingford but they're not having much luck renting it out through the listing on this website;

    http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/carlingford/125567

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to a more beneficial place to advertise? The guy is considering creating a personal website for the property but I don't see that being the idle solution as it would need some method of driving traffic to the domain.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    www.daft.ie have a short term rental section

    Loads of holiday homes there. Make sure there's plenty of good quality photos, have it accurately mapped, reply to all enquiries, price it reasonably. Hopefully your friend would get enquiries then.

    http://www.discoverireland.ie/
    http://www.countylouth.com/
    http://www.louthholidays.com/

    Any or all of the above, daft is not usually a first point for foreign tourists...

    Why not try "Holiday Rentals" or "owners Direct"
    http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/
    http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/

    The sites advertise the house but the potential clients contact you directly.
    I use Holiday Rentals myself to book property for my holidays abroad and find it excellent.
    It also comes up in serach engine if somebody is looking for the property!

    Also looking for a holiday home to rent/let for a couple weeks in August 2011 but couldn't find a place to post.
    Would anyone know of an area or site to check for 4-5 bdrm holiday homes in the Dublin area (or just north/south on coast)?
    Cheers.
