it looked like the lads where defending in a pyramid instead of a straight line which left the ospreys time on either side of teh centre

    the team looked knackered too...

williams was aiming at darcys left shoulder all day and bowe was right there inside bod too...it was impressive to watch but we just werent at the races ....

a mixture of emotion and complaicency (?) cost us badly...

i drank heavily to get over it and that was the best prescription to a bad result...

Celtic Rugby shouldn't be allowed organise an event again, the MC was somewhat irritating, had no idea of how to let the atmosphere establish itself. Before the match he was pumping mediocre music full blast through the speakers nullifying any attempts of the fans to up the ante ahead of kickoff. I have no problem with low music, or a very short clip as the teams enter the field or score a try but the main noise should be created by the fans, not by a sound system pumping uninspiring music loudly. Whats more, if it was outsourced to London, whats the point, its a celtic league, let some celtic businesses manage it. If it was a home final, Leinster should have controlled most of it. Then whenever all the fans looked at the bigscreen for a replay they put a big ad for the grand final on it. Whats the point in a bigscreen if you cannot watch the replays. I know the Heineken cup does this sometimes and won't show replays of foul play, but it normally shows the tries at least.

Very disappointing day on Saturday. We kicked away far too much ball, made a lot of unforced errors and didn't play the ref the way the Ospreys did. If they can get away with lying on the wrong side of the ruck then we should be doing that as well. Ospreys managed to bottle up Jamie too, which is no mean feat. But they had 2 or 3 on him every time he got near the ball.

At the end of the day though the better side won. They look fresher, fitter and more inventive than we did.

I was gutted for Girv not getting on too. He looked pretty upset receiving his OLSC presentation. Great servant to us over the years. Same for Mal who I thought played well.

Will be interesting to see next year how we do. Could be a rough season with so many changes in staff and players, nevermind the fact that we need to start making changes on the field. For as much as I love BOD and Darcy (and thought Darcy looked good going forward on Sat) we need to start getting McFadden at the very least in more often. We sorely lacked pace (when's Fitzy back?) this season overall.

Leo was off the field and in the stands. The announcer was still there but was sharing duties with some inane Ospreys guy. Supporters banners were down.

I think Leo being off field made all the difference and was reflected in the scoreline.

    Which Leo?

I've gotten over the result really now. Better team deserved it. Interestingly though, I think a competent ref would have allowed Leinster win, even though the Ospreys played better.

We really are a team dedicated to winning rather than playing well.
