Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,975 ✭✭✭nkay1985

What are the sizes of yayun's jerseys like lads? Thinking of ordering a few.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

the last 2 i got were pretty standard, ordered medium and got medium. I know a medium in yayuns were a bit smaller than what we would call a medium in the past, but these ones i got last week seem spot on

I have a large United jersey from two or three seasons ago. It's a bit baggy on me. Ordered a large from Yayun and it's a bit tight.

Shows off the aul belly :p

Got my shirts from competitive sports yesterday, dont think they even went to customs. arsenal crest is a tiny bit meh but other than that its really nice, same for long sleeve real madrid jersey. arsenal shorts also good, fit nicely. would defo agree that the adidas seems like it would last longer, ill try to avoid nike from now on

my second batch from yayun sailed through customs friday too so ill have them monday.

Just a quick question regarding aliexpress, I'm looking at getting the new German home shirt but the only one I can find is this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-germany-2014-world-cup-home-white-soccer-jerseys-football-jerseys-top-thailand-3A/1468164770.html without the Adidas etc badges. I'm just wondering is that the way they come without them or is it only for photo purposes that they blank them out? Cheers.

Just got my second batch of 4 jerseys. Never went to customs, my first batch from yayun. The other yayun batch is still in customs, been there since 13th so hoping the status will change today. How will I know if they're destroyed? Can't imagine it saying such a thing on the tracking

    You'll get a letter from customs/adidas/nike

    That'll be an interesting letter!

I got one from Puma about 2 years ago, asked me to reply with details of where I ordered the goods from. Straight in to the bin!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

It will just say your good were destroyed as they were counterfeit.

I emailed a reply basically saying " as soon as you stop charging 3000% markup, i'll be more then happy to buy from you. P.S **** you."

    :pac:

Yup, I got mine there also. Quality is pretty impeccable.

I also ordered from here and they were equally impressive and have a wider selection; http://www.aliexpress.com/store/627018

Thanks for that. What's the difference between the player and fan versions?

Player versions have rubber badges and generally fit a little tighter.

Cool thanks. If you were to choose who to order with, what would you go with? And are the sizes on these two sites pretty standard?

Dunno really, it's personal preference. I can see rubber badges peeling off in the wash. Hasn't happened with mine so far though.

Sizes seem ok to me, I take a medium and the mediums i've ordered fit fine. I'm 6'0 and 13 stone.

Personally I have used Yayun, til he fails me or i get a better offer, ill stick with him.

Moneymaker seems to use both and has had good times with both. Any bad luck that could happen with customs seems to happen with both suppliers.

Cheers lads. I see a major problem with them being pretty cheap - you feel like buying about 10 of them! Have to whittle down my selection to 3 or 4 and give them a try.

Ive only ever ordered 3 at a time, if you order ten and get stung by customs you'll have a bad time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,238 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

Well my batch of 5 is still in customs, since last Wednesday :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,603 ✭✭✭lassykk

How do you know it is in Customs?

My package of 4 jerseys arrived in the UK yesterday per Hongkong Post tracking but not sure what the next piece of puzzle is!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,238 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

Cos the tracking says its been sent to customs?

Yep, that's the main reason why I was thinking of 3/4. It's not so bad to lose €45/€50 but over €100 wouldn't be great.

You can probably write those off to be honest mate.

I'd ring customs and see what the craic is but I imagine a 'goods seized' letter is on its way :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,238 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

ring customs....that will be fun :pac:

ill wait til next monday and message yayun then. does he definitely send them again for gratis?

Hes fairly sound a reasonable. He got my jersey wrong as mentioned a few posts back and is sending it again, no extra charge. No harm giving him a mail on friday

Tracking gets updated to Held by Customs if they are confiscating them. Yayun can see this tracking info too so just tell him [no need for the letter] and he will give you some sort of comeback. I got 3/6 free

Just explain the situation, that they were destroyed after being judged counterfeit by customs. Hes fairly sound with any dealings have with him he may compensate you in some way. If not its the risk you take for ordering with him I'm afraid.

I'd see that as a good thing to be honest.
