Only reason Ireland do crap is because of really really rubbish songs..

    Screw Eurovision

    Next year.....Anglovision

Only English speaking countries can enter - you know, ones that can actually sing in English and we have something in common with.

    Be better quality and craic

So the rest of Europe who didn't vote for our song is deaf as well?

Ireland has to get modern and stop doing ballads from 'Titanic'!

    Conspiracy Theory form Twitter.
From 6:30 this evening. There's a strong rumour going around for the past few hours that Germany has already "won" the eurovision.

We did, then went back to ballads and it still doesn't get a result. We even sent a first! A ****ing puppet FFS.

Its all political and due to the fact that we are actually hated in Europe for being boastful upstarts for too many years. We were better off being poor oul Ireland. FACT!

You mean put in, oh I don't know, a hot singer in a skimpy outfit fronting an all girl band singing a Europop style dancey song? Hmmm...

    Eurovision:

3 hours of very entertaining songs followed by 20 minutes of furious c**k sucking.

    See you in Germany.

Man, this has been the busiest thread I've ever been involved in. One last thing I want to say before I buzz off is I've had great fun with you on boards, and I still think Tom Dice of Belgium should have won. Night all.

Other years there have been complaints by the Eurovision heads in RTE and Ireland in general that there is "block voting", "neighbour voting" etc etc... I didnt put much credence into it considering the songs that we sent..

But this year, Niamh Kavanagh deserved to be top ten, without a doubt.. She performed brilliantly, and the song was an okay song.. Other singer performed poorly with average songs and got way more votes.. The days of Eurovision being fair are gone. I dont know where it goes from here..

Something a bit more theatrical maybe..
Like Denmarks or even azerbijan's song.

To be fair, it was easily in the top 10 songs on the night. Easily.
