are there many groups representing the Germans here in Ireland?
I just know Kampfgruppe Kittel and Battlegroup South.

thanks for that. it does not sem to be as expensive a hobby as first I thought. the only really expensive and awkward thing is the gun-deactivated is not much good and firing blanks is tricky enough in terms of getting a permit.

This group represent a Wehrmacht unit rather than the usual SS groups.

I reckon you can get most of the uniform and kit for about €500 if you shop around, depends on the quality you want. I have a pair of brand new Richard Underwood jackboots if you are looking for some stuff. Size 10 I think, never worn.
I was going to start reenacting but just couldent devote the time required.
I think if you are part of a recognised group the blank firing guns are not too much of a problem to get around, the guys in the club will sort it all out for you.

thanks. I must admit it is something that I am only considering at the moment. I would have to see how time intensive it would be among other factors.
