Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice requested: Pashley Princess 'style' bike but with quick release seatpost

    Hi,

Possibly an unusual enquiry, but I'm looking for a bike in the style and with the features of a Pashley Princess Sovereign, BUT it MUST have a quick release seat post clamp. The Pashley doesn't. Nor is it possible to retro fit one.

Ideally, I'd like to buy the bike in an LBS in Dublin.

    Any thoughts?

    DFD.

Why do you need a QR seatpost on it?

    Alternatively:

It certainly looks like you could fit a quick-release bolt in there. Mind you, it also has to hold the back of the bike together.

Still not sure why you'd want to though.

Presumably so that the (expensive) saddle can be removed for security.

I'd probably use a Pitlock clamp instead, if it fitted.

Or make it easier to nick when you don't bother removing it. :)
