playing and recording through a bass amp to a pc

    Hi, could anyone tell me if its possible to connect my ipod to a bass amp and then connect it to a pc so as i could record bass playing to a song onto the pc? thanks

    I don't really understand what are you trying to do. Are you just hoping to record bass on your PC? If so, why is your ipod involved?

    Hi.........what i mean is .............could i connect my ipod to play through my amp and then play along to a particular song and record it via the pc...

    Ah, that makes more sense :)

    There would be no need to connect your ipod to anything. If you wish to play along to a song and record the bass tracks, you could use audio recording software, import the song and have it playing while recording. This would require you to listen to the PC through headphones while recording the bass tracks.
