Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think they are going to have to make it a bit easier. People are switching off in their droves I reckon

You have to admit their questions were very easy. On most other "Celeb" quizzes (Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Eggheads, Weakest Link) the questions are the same regular contestants would get. It too has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Maybe with the other 2 shows but i seem to remember seeing a few weakest link celeb episodes and my 4 year old could have answered the questions correctly

I don't think their questions were easier. The only one they had an edge on was the combined ages question because they knew one of the answers. Besides that the difficulty of questions was about the same. And they only left with £50k. I don't see anything wrong with it.

And we start with Raymond and Mo from up north - and Mo is old enough to be Raymond's mother...

Leaving out Larry Lamb, have the producers finally realised that having under-40s all the time isn't such a good idea?!

bit harsh that she brought her sons boyfriend instead of her son.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,038 ✭✭✭Go Harvey Go

    Ouch.

Even more painful when you learn that there were just three years between Capone being sentenced and Bonnie and Clyde being shot dead...

I know the answer to this one..

    ..
    they're goners!

These two look far too young to do well with anything before 1990..

EDIT: They think Tom Jones has just turned 51 today? FFS... they'll be out before question 3!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,454 ✭✭✭mloc123

Bryan Adams is 51 today? wow. song was 'everything for you'

    Edit: actually, 'everything i do'

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,305 ✭✭✭DOC09UNAM

hahahahahaha bryan adams is closer to 51 than tom jones.

    They'll be Gone next question.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,036 ✭✭✭✭Basq

I'd say Tom Jones must be late 60's or early 70's..

These two shouldn't be allowed out on their own.

Ha! Davina gave them a telling off for being thick!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,038 ✭✭✭Go Harvey Go

    Love this tweet:

"If Tom Jones was 51 today, he would have released 'Its not unusual' when he was 5."

And the answer to this next question's obviously Newsnight...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,038 ✭✭✭Go Harvey Go

Davina: "Coleen Nolan, Barbara Windsor, Cheryl Cole - or me." :D:D

Then "You left myself clear" and "I've released a few." :D

Somehow these two are going to succeed in getting further than Raymond and Mo...

    Reeee-sult!

Does anyone else ever-so-slightly cringe when Davina asks people how we're doing at home? And then waits for a response, and gives a thumbs-up?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,038 ✭✭✭Go Harvey Go

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

That's the definition of "blown it" IMHO!

And Davina wasn't lying there - someone really did get cheeky and edit Tom Jones's Wikipedia page to say he was born on 5 November 1959.

    Didn't last long, though...

I liked them up until she started waving her hands around, and she's a screamer, I don't like screamers.

    Oh dearie me...

Paul McGann played the Doctor only once...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,305 ✭✭✭DOC09UNAM

considering tom baker was only doctor for 7 years and he was the longest, I would have thought tennant myself tbh.

I don't like Davina. I find her a condescending bitch

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,873 ✭✭✭Skid

Davina adds nothing to this show.

It's a good format, it doesn't her adding fake sincerity to the contestants.

To be fair, if she didn't call the two girls retards for thinking Tom Jones is only 51, I don't think she ever will.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,038 ✭✭✭Go Harvey Go

Oh dear... after that sunset question last week, Bother's Bar is now giving the show a hard time over that Doctor Who question...

She act as if it is beneath her being a game show hostess. I find her very very insincere - a female Dermot O'Leary - who I can't stand either

they didn't even know who twiggy was.

And weren't they all on the advert? was that not the point of the question?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,038 ✭✭✭Go Harvey Go

Did they not think that Australia has an enormous sheep population?

And they were six seconds away from game over there...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,305 ✭✭✭DOC09UNAM

    lucky escape for them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,038 ✭✭✭Go Harvey Go

And after that lucky escape... they're going to win!!!

    Albeit it's only £25k.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,305 ✭✭✭DOC09UNAM

I would have gone guinness aswell, thought jack daniels was 1861, turns out it's 66 :o

can't see this pair lasting past the end of the show though tbh.

Looks like you were proved wrong.

But they obviously hadn't really heard of the Isle of Sheppey...

Good heavens, did I upset you there?

If so, it certainly wasn't intended - I was just making an observation.

    I do apologise.

    Of course not good man!

They upset me by being right on a total guess!

I was hoping they would pick Isle of Man just so I could laugh at them!

I guess they're not your cup of tea then.

I have to admit, they're not really my cup of tea either - though they're not quite as bad as those two last night who thought Tom Jones was 51...
