Thinking about taking a trip up the Suir (around Cahir) at the weekend - anyone know how it's fishing? Rivers around Cork are down to their bones with the lack of rain.

    oke

Tell me about it, rain forecast for the weekend though so hopefully we get a decent bit.

Was fishing the Cahir stretch on Sunday, weather was good and the river level was low but still had a good flow. Caught a couple of nice brownies, a few around the pound mark - mostly on very small olives and griffiths gnat's. I was hoping for some sedge action around dusk but nothing doing unfortunately. Fantastic stretch of river.
