    To be hoest I'm not really too sad, anychance Callan can be gifted to Tipperary:)

    Aren't a lot of kilkennys ghost estates in these areas, maybe it would be better to "gift" them to Waterford and Waterford taxpayers can take up the cost of their maintenance!

    yep,

    Kilkenny Co Co wanted to make Ferrybank an independent village and screwed up badly - part of the reason why this area should be managed from Waterford City. it is daft that it is managed from 35 miles away yet is a stone's throw from Waterford City Centre

    Just look at the big white elephant that is ferrybank shopping centre - it should never had got planning, but KCC just saw it as a cash cow to be milked

    Edit:

    Managed does not mean taken over - it can still remain part of County Kilkenny
