Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I thought it was 2012 when we are all supposed to die. Either way there is plenty of archaeological evidence for fairly serious climatic and sociological disturbances that affected the course of human evolution in the last 6000 years that I wouldnt want to have lived through.

    The Black Death for example and that certainly wasnt 26000 years ago.

    Anyway I wouldnt trust the Mayans, they saw the end of the world and designed their calender accordingly but neglected to predict the destruction of their society.

    Until recently we used Roman numerals in our calendar.

    MMMCMXCIX is the highest number you can get in this system under the normal rules

    Which of course means the world will end at the end of 3999



    The Mayan calendar rollover is just an early form of the millennium bug

    And we all know now that the millenium bug was a con by the software companies etc. Just like churches telling us constantly that the "end is nigh".
