Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This thread is for discussion of open source, what it means to you personally and if you plan to contribute your code or already do.

Funny pictures and links to useful sites are encouraged

I'm currently studying programming in IT Carlow and I find open source software to be a huge help when trying to understand program structure. I get to see how the program works as a whole, I get to see the code, and I get to edit it and watch the program change (read: crash. I'm not that good yet ). I'll be contributing the code from any of my personal projects once I get past the level where Linus Torvalds won't try to track down and kill me for releasing my abominations. Maybe 2 years from now when I learn to comment with more than // Past this point be dragons!.
