    Thrilled with all these sets, face is nicely speckled with burst blood vessels after it. Warmed up against varying resistance bands around my back to drill bar speed from the start, I guess it worked. 1st set felt great but had to fight for the third rep, decided to keep it at doubles after that so as not to miss reps. 6th set was a complete disaster, the second rep took forever, fair play to VIS for leaving me at it, 99% of spotters would take the bar off you. For some reason I always seem to peak on the 7th set, absolutely nailed it. There were two or three other doubles that I could have definatly pushed for triples but I'd like to give myself a chance at some decent board pressing on wednesday. Might have a crack at 160 for a double next week.

    Man just wait and see, the drop off on the lower boards is going to be spectacular. I'll be happy with any kind of PR at the end of this... I'm probably not training hard enough though, only one of my eyes is full of blood today, it could be a mini-vag having its period directly in my face though its too soon to tell. I still have one fully functional rotator cuff and I've only strained a couple of little gay muscles somewhere under my pec. Fingers crossed its just my heart, I dont want to wreck anything I cant get back on a transplant list

    Speed bench was stupid easy, I've pulled a muscle or something inside my chest though which made pressing alot more uncomfortable than it should have been, shoulders are in ribbons after wednesday too. Dropping the weight and increasing the band tension next week.

    The pulled muscle inside my chest was still at me this evening, my benching was slow and pathetic up to 120 and I was just being over cautious with it, the doubles on 160 idea from last week immediately got scrapped in favour of some long overdue volume. 140kg x8 is one of those numbers on the bench I've wanted for a loooooong time. Any reps over 4 on 140 I've done before were all assisted to varying degrees, no reps tonight were touched, so technically everything was a PR. I need to work on staying tight while breathing, I always lose my shape, line and drive as soon as I breathe during sets. Bit of a confidence booster moving back into heavy doubles and triples from next week onwards.

    Feels like a completely different exercise to the 3 board, my first set on 180 was intended as a single, it slowed down oddly, I guess because I'm hovering around my sticking point at with this. Second set was good, first rep ok and second rep better. Third set the first rep was the best of the lot but I lost the line completely on the second rep, it came off the board no problem then promptly died. Same with the 4th set on it. All in all it left me p*ssed off.. I hate missing reps when I feel the strength is there for them. Next week will probably be the last week of pressing x3 a week. All in all its going great so far, but I dont want to spend too long putting this kind of pressure on my shoulders/elbows. So I'll keep benching mondays, speed benching fridays and do a dedicated squat day midweek, and I'm going to run a modified coan-phillipi (sumo) on sundays.

    At some point soon enough I'll get into the katana too for sh*ts and giggles

    No.. have another week on the two board.. I'll drill some volume on 170-180 then maybe a 190 attempt. Depends on how I'm feeling after next monday. I reckon i'd have gotten 190x1 tonight though since the first reps were solid enough.

    Speed benching was tough, used heavier bands from the last few weeks double choked under a 60kg dumbbell as the 55s weren't heavy enough, took ~45seconds between sets max so flew through them. The inhuman head couldnt take part today, as his vagina required an hours hardcore work with the luminous yellow thera-band.
